Angela Hatley
During the years she worked as a registered nurse at a large teaching hospital, Angela Hatley often found herself serving as an advocate for her patients, working to ensure that they received the care they needed. Today, as an attorney she advocates for the clients she has the pleasure of representing in Fayetteville and surrounding communities. A 1984 graduate of UNC School of Nursing and a native of Salisbury, North Carolina, Angela practiced nursing full time in a hospital setting for six years before beginning her legal career at Campbell University School of Law. Ms. Hatley graduated from Campbell with honors in 1993. After practicing with the firm of Armstrong and Armstrong, P.A. in Smithfield for two years, she relocated to Fayetteville in 1995 to start a family. “At Chapel Hill, while in nursing school, I learned the importance of being a strong advocate and teacher for my patients……when I decided to go back to graduate school, it only seemed natural to build on and develop my advocacy skills by pursing a formal legal education.” Ms. Hatley concentrates her practice in the areas of civil litigation, family law, and social security disability advocacy. She is a member of the NC Advocates for Justice, the American Associates for Justice (professional negligence and disability advocacy sections), the North Carolina Bar Association and the Cumberland County Bar Association. Aside from her professional activities, Angela enjoys horseback riding, travel and reading. Angela is also involved in her church and a supporter of Fayetteville Christian School and the Governor Morehead School for the Blind, the schools in which her three children attend.
